One of the most famous songs for koto. There are various opinions about the composer, but a famous one is that it was written by Yatsuhashi Kengyo (1624-1685), who is known for establishing koto music. It consists of a total of 6 parts, and this arrangement was done for guitar and koto for 3 parts. While recording this song, I could picture the composer choosing one note at a time to create the melody on top of a tatami mattress. I got goosebumps thinking it was such a perfect melody. - Yukihiro Atsumi
